Meet the Economic Development Committee
The Dauphin Economic Development Committee is a standing committee of Council. It's mandate is to provides insight and direction to Mayor & Council for the growth and prosperity of our community and to develop initiatives for future development and growth. The committee membership is made up of appointed members of City Council, Parkland Chamber of Commerce and five members-at -large. The committee is supported by the Economic Development team.
The members-at-large on the Dauphin Economic Development Committee serve as the critical eyes and ears of the local community. Their diverse backgrounds and direct involvement in various sectors bring a rich mosaic of perspectives, making their contributions particularly valuable. These members help pinpoint emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities, effectively channeling the diverse voices and concerns of all community segments into actionable insights. Their engagement is crucial in crafting strategies that foster inclusive growth and prosperity across Dauphin.
The committee meets once a month (except for July and August) at lunch time.
